The al Durah Blood Libel
Melanie Phillips: "The 'killing' of Mohammed al Durah was swallowed uncritically by the western media, despite the manifold unlikeliness and contradictions which were apparent from the start, because it accorded with the murderous prejudice against Israel which is the prism through which the Middle East conflict is habitually refracted. This scandal has the most profound implications not just for the media, not just for the Middle East conflict but for the western world’s relationship to reason, which seems to grow more tenuous by the day."
Al-Dura and the "Public Secret" of Middle East Journalism
Richard Landes: "The evidence emerging from the ongoing Al Dura trial in France indicates that Western journalists are fully aware that some of the footage they use in their reports on the Mideast conflict is staged."
Time to End the Charade
Salim Mansur: "Instead of another international conference the Americans would do better in accepting the obvious -- that a Palestinian state exists, and it is called Jordan with its population being overwhelmingly Palestinian."

Arab Population in the West Bank & Gaza - The 1.5 Million Person Gap
The assumption that Arabs in the West Bank and Gaza pose a demographic threat to Israel has to be radically revised. The 2004 Palestinian-Arab population was closer to 2.4 million than to the 3.8 million reported by Palestinian Authority (PA) officials. These findings should have a significant impact on politicians, policy makers and international aid agencies.
